Q: How do we get there?
A: Airlie Center is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains,
just 50 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. It is approximately 45 minutes from Dulles International Airport and 1 hour from National Airport. From Richmond it is approximately 96 miles.
Q: What kind of clothes do we need?
A: All you need are casual clothes, walking shoes, exercise clothes if you want to use their gym equipment,
or play clothes for bike riding or fishing in their pond.
Q: What activities are available at Airlie?
A: Airlie has an outdoor pool, a fitness center, tennis courts, horse shoes, volley-ball,
bike and walking paths, and a fishing pond. Airlie supplies tennis rackets,
bikes and fishing poles. There is a Game Room next to the Pub.
Q: Are TVs, telephones, Internet service available?
A: There are telephones in all rooms as well as cable television and high speed internet access.
Q: Do we need a car?
A: No. If you do not want to rent a car, Airlie can handle transfer arrangements, which you would then pay. Call them at 540.347.1300 and
ask for the Concierge, who will get your flight arrival information, etc.
The Center needs at least 2 weeks notice to make these arrangements
for you. Airlie charges a 20% service fee. Additionally, all transportation
vendors charge a 20% gratuity.
Q: What activities are nearby?
A: Warrenton, Virginia is located in the middle of Fauquier County and has beautiful hiking paths and historical sites. For a longer day trip there is Washington, D.C.
