FAQ

WHITE STALLION

Q: I’ve never ridden a horse before. Can I still ride?
A: White Stallion’s response: “We can accommodate the experienced horse-owner and the ‘first-time’ rider and everyone in between.” And that is true. When we first visited the ranch, there were 3 of us: an experienced rider, one rider with a bit of experience, and one rider with no experience at all. We were all happy.

Q: How do we get there?
A: White Stallion Ranch is 40 minutes from Tucson International Airport (TUS) and 90 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX). After registering, you’ll receive detailed driving directions if needed.

Q: What kind of clothes will we need?
A: Unless you plan to ride horses, all you need are casual clothes, a swimsuit if you like to swim, walking shoes, and a sweater or light jacket for the evenings. It’s certainly okay to dress up a bit for dinner, but not required.

Q: What clothes do I need if I plan to ride horses?
A: Minimally you will need jeans, riding boots, and panty hose or bicycle shorts to prevent chafing. White Stallion has valuable suggestions for what to pack, including what shoes to wear if you don’t have riding boots.

Q: What activities are available at White Stallion Ranch?
A: An outdoor pool, redwood hot tub, spa services, sauna, and a fitness center are available. Tennis and basketball can be played on beautiful outdoor HarTru courts, along with volleyball, badminton or paddle tennis. The ranch also has a recreation center which has, amongst other things, a “movie theater” for viewing TV, DVDs or VHS tapes.

Q: Are telephone, Internet, and TV service available?
A: There are telephones and complimentary wireless Internet access for your laptop in all rooms and throughout most of the ranch. The business center has a computer and printer with Internet access. Guest rooms at the ranch do not have TV, but one is available in the Roundup Recreation Center.

Q: Anything unusual we should expect?
A: Yes! White Stallion is a working ranch. You will see cattle and horses, birds feeding at many stations throughout the ranch, and dessert lizards running here and there.

Q: Do we need a car?
A: No. You can take a taxi from Tucson International Airport to the ranch. You can also contact White Stallion directly to book their shuttle service. There is a fee. If your entire stay includes a total of 4 or more nights, the shuttle service is complimentary.
